Creekside Cafe is a relaxed, waterside spot in Coffs Harbour where the locals and visitors blend coffee culture with easy mornings and casual lunches. Nestled right alongside Coffs Creek and just a short stroll from the dog-friendly beach, it’s the kind of place where you can settle in with a well-made soy latte or an old-school metal cup milkshake, soaking up waterfront views that stretch across the marine sanctuary area.

The vibe here leans into a laid-back, community feel. You’ll typically find people stopping by after a walk along the creek’s walking paths or visiting the nearby dolphin and seal rescue centre. The outdoor seating makes it ideal for sunny mornings or mild afternoons when the breeze off the water cools the air. It’s one of those cafes that quietly caters well to families, dog owners, and anyone wanting a fuss-free spot to eat and chat.

Breakfast and casual lunch are the highlights, with dishes like the Cheese Toastie and Big Breckie providing generous portions that reflect the cafe’s local, no-fuss style. While some items can run a bit on the pricier side, it matches the experience of dining at a popular spot with such a scenic outlook. For those who prefer lighter fare or snacks, nachos and salads are easy choices, and kids have a menu tailored to their tastes with familiar favourites like mini cheeseburgers and crumbed chicken nuggets.

Service tends to be friendly and approachable, adding to the overall warmth of the place. It’s the kind of cafe where baristas know your coffee preference, whether it’s a strong espresso or a smooth soy latte. The combination of well-crafted coffee, ample parking, and a dog-friendly policy makes it a natural stop for locals out for a stroll or families looking for a casual bite.

Overall, Creekside Cafe works best for those who appreciate simple, comforting meals paired with quality coffee and a genuine connection to the local environment. Early to mid-mornings or early afternoons are good times to catch the smile-friendly staff and enjoy the water views without feeling rushed. For visitors and locals alike, it fits neatly into Coffs Harbour’s relaxed coastal rhythm, serving up more than just food and drinks—it offers a spot to pause and take in the everyday charm of the creekside.

Good view of the water from the cafe. Food is decent, though slightly on the expensive side, which makes sense considering it’s adjoining the dolphin and seal rescue. Mild addiction to icing sugar, so if you don’t like sweet make sure you say something. Coffee was pretty good. Milk shakes are in the old school metal cups which makes them twice as good.

The espresso at Creekside Cafe was wonderful and just what the doctor ordered following my friends’ wedding and a meander around the Dolphins marine Conservation Park. My soy latte was delicious and the service was fantastic!
